Black Tie, Reimagined: Introducing the Sinatra Black Tie & Bow Tie Collection

Black tie dressing has long been associated with rules.

A black tuxedo. A white shirt. A black bow tie. Structure, tradition, and ritual.

But the most interesting formalwear has always lived in the details.

This season, we introduce a new interpretation of black tie dressing: our signature Sinatra pattern, reimagined entirely in black.

Available as both ties and bow ties, these new additions bring texture, depth, and individuality to formal dressing — subtle enough for tradition, distinctive enough to feel personal.

A Brief History of Black Tie

Black tie as we know it emerged in the late nineteenth century as a softer alternative to white tie evening dress.

Originally designed for private dinners and evening entertaining, the tuxedo became a more relaxed approach to formal dressing — elegant, refined, but less rigid.

Over time, black tie evolved into the uniform of celebration: weddings, galas, opera evenings, black tie parties, and milestone moments.

Yet despite changes in fashion, one principle has remained:

Formalwear works best when personality exists within restraint.

Why Texture Matters in Formalwear

The challenge with black accessories has always been creating interest without excess.

This is where texture becomes important.

Our Sinatra pattern has been developed as a subtle geometric jacquard weave — creating movement, light reflection, and depth while remaining entirely monochromatic.

From a distance, classic.

Up close, distinctive.

The result is a tie or bow tie that feels contemporary without compromising formality.

Crafted Entirely in England

Every Sinatra Black Tie and Bow Tie is produced entirely in England.

The silk jacquard fabric is woven in collaboration with an English mill with over 300 years of textile heritage — preserving traditional weaving expertise while producing exclusive designs for COLUCCI.

From there, each piece is handmade in Kent by specialist tie makers using traditional construction techniques.

This process allows us to maintain precision, quality, and the small details that define exceptional accessories.

Each run is intentionally limited.

Not mass produced. Not repeated endlessly.

Simply crafted carefully.

Slim or Wide?

Our ties are available in two widths:

6cm Slim Blade
Refined and contemporary. Ideal for narrower lapels and a more modern silhouette.

8cm Wide Blade
A classic proportion that works beautifully with traditional tailoring and broader lapels.

Both are designed to move seamlessly between weddings, black tie events, and evening dressing.

When to Wear Black Ties & Bow Ties

These pieces are designed for:

  • Black tie events
  • Weddings
  • Evening receptions
  • Formal dinners
  • Opera and theatre occasions
  • Modern business eveningwear
  • Celebration dressing

And because formalwear is often shared, celebrated, and remembered:

They also make exceptional groomsmen gifts.

The Modern Black Tie

We believe black tie dressing should feel personal.

Not louder.
Not trend-led.
Simply more considered.

The Sinatra Black Tie and Bow Tie collection was designed to do exactly that — bringing craftsmanship, texture, and individuality into formal dressing through the smallest details.
